The sublyme cavepede split from it's ancestor after some spores drifted into the Sublyme limestone caves. The sublyme cavepede is slightly larger than its ancestor because of the abundance of food and lack of competition within the caves. The baleen 'mouth' has gotten larger in response to it's increase in size because it needs to eat more than before. The sublyme cavepede has developed primitive pressure sensors that helps it tell if there is food around. These sensors are mainly above it's "mouth" but some have developed on their antenna as well, letting them search waters around it. The claws have gotten larger in order to get a better grasp on the walls of limestone.
