The terrarom split from its ancestor, the kerrarom. It is much like its ancestor, with one exception. It's ancestor's tubular mouth is now separated from the rest of the body by a thin flap of skin, instead of leading directly into its body cavity. This allows some basic filtration of toxins from the water, and the removal of some water, before the river water enters the body. It's sensing organ is now even stronger, and can sense concentrations of microbe-laden waste from relatively far away. Like its ancestor, they are not social or need to congregate to exchange genetic material between each other, they simply bud off smaller versions of themselves.
