The ichthy gilltail split from it's ancestor and moved up the river. Its color scheme is excellent for avoiding ukbacks above and riverskippers below. They eat the clickworms that land in the water, belumbias harassing shockshell gilltails getting the remainder of the shockshell, and swamp plyents when no meat is available. They are non-schooling and lash out at each other except on the night of a new moon when they mate, producing a few dozen eggs.
