Ancestor:Descendants:

The wind-riding guardian evolved from the golden guardian. It outcompeted and replaced penitoflora atmos. When golden guardian doubled in number of cells, one of the offspring had a mutation in which not only would it have a spherical shape, its flagella would split twice after a long enough time of growth. This essentially quadruped its flagella, making it a huge mass, similar in look to a dandelion. Soon, it was into the air, spreading to the creatures there, ridding them of infection, and also spreading in great numbers throughout the entire troposphere.
