Ancestor:Descendants:

The wolf shrew has replaced its ancestor and uses the Ferret Caves for shelter. Their ears point up and are now even better at hearing. They are born fully developed, and feed on their mother's milk for the first 45 days. They live and hunt in packs of 24 to 30, making their hunts more successful. They hunt on the savanna and drive their prey into ambushes.

They are very territorial and mark their territory by urinating on their cave's entrance and on inferno trees Their sense of smell has gotten stronger to aid in finding prey. They now have raptor-like hind feet which aids in standing erect. They stand so they can use the front paws to strike at cornered prey. They also have one more finger per front foot, which is for more damaging attacks on prey.

They are primarily carnivorous, but will eat violetgrass to soothe stomach pains. If prey is scarce, they will eat hermangrass fruits to survive.

They communicate through barks, howls, snarls, growls, and posture (ears, fur and tail). An example of this is: ears erect, bristled fur, bared teeth, and growling shows anger. Each pack is loosely led by an alpha pair (M + F), who resolve any disputes in the pack.
