Splitting from its ancestor, the bigeye sucker foi has developed a parasitic life style in order to survive in the depleted oceans. Adapting to the flashing filtersquids, it, like the rest of its group, sticks with its host for the rest of its life. Developing a larger central eye in order to see potential predators above it, it will release a chemical signal into the water if it senses one. This signal will cause all nearby bigeye sucker foi to mass-produce spores to both distract the predator and to also spread their species.
