The fat lizatokage split from the lizatokage. It is larger and has thicker skin than its ancestor, which provides it better protection than its ancestor. The fat lizatokage has specialized its diet in favor of the various plants of the Vivus Island. Unlike its relative, the thin lizatokage, the fat lizatokage thrives in warmer and more humid environments where there are more plants to feed on. They prefer to rest in areas that are thick with vegetation that can keep them safe from predators. The fat lizatokage has thick fat that helps it store energy during leaner times. The fat lizatokage uses vegetation to make mound nests to hide their eggs in and to keep warm. The fat lizatokage has also evolved larger nostrils to help it sniff out unseen predators and to help it determine the fresh ripe fruits of gecoba trees and marblemelons that it loves to feed on over under-ripe and rotten fruits.
Like their ancestors, they lay soft shelled eggs and they still communicate using their dewlap and can change color and show general needs and emotions.
