Ancestor:Descendants:

There are few differences between the islepede and the giant islepede. The giant islepede has perfected feeding on the sticky-structure and one individual is now capable of eating a whole colony due to its giant size and a second adaptation. The giant islepedes "beak" has evolved a sack which neutralize the stickyness of the sticky-structure allowing it to feed on it with ease. The giant islepede still feed on other sticky-flora on yokto island, however, with its new size it needs a lot of food and the best way to get it is to feed on the sticky-structure and will only resort to eating other sticky-flora when desperate, thus allowing the giant islepede and the islepede to coexist peacefully. With their new size the "book lungs" is no longer enough so they have evolved primitive bellows lung. Their size also required a sturdier body and thus it evolved a thicker and sturdier tail and body and also they can only shed their skin part by part and only in water to not get crushed by their own weigth. This is the only thing that separate the two species.
