Ancestor:Descendants:

The greenhouse cryodome replaced its ancestor, the cryodome. It doubled in size and now has a hollow layer of air to insulate its blue fungi-like insides. The outer chitin lenses work like the window panes of a greenhouse and traps heat. Thus making it much warmer inside than the air outside the dome. Like their ancestors they are very efficient in getting nutrients from the ice and soil. They need very little nutrients to grow.
