The Harvester Pedesorm replaced its ancestor, the sprinting pedesorm, due to its superior running speed, stamina, and ability to gather food. It has doubled in size and has changed drastically. It has evolved a defined head and neck, longer arms, sharper claws, a tail, and a simple ear. It's neck allows it to reach food that its ancestor would have never been able to. A mutation caused its arms to develop two bones instead of one, making them more useful. These arms end in two-pronged claws that are used to stab prey, but they aren't as useful as its trunk-claw. It has evolved a backward-facing toe-claw due to a mutation. However, it proved to be beneficial as it aided in stabilizing the creature. Thus, this trait was passed on to the next generation and so on. It has evolved a tail to counterbalance its longer body. Due to the evolution of predators that it can't fight or even see (the camoback), it has begun to evolve ears to detect any noise that a camoback would make. These ears are currently just two holes in the side of their heads and aren't completely effective, but they have slightly reduced the number of deaths caused by being ambushed by camobacks. It is easy to run from a camoback, as they are built for long-endurance sprinting. If they detect the slightest sound of what they suspect is a camoback, they will bolt away from where the sound came from. They don't exactly have any small predators, as they have grown too large for young karybdos to attack them.
Harvester Pedesorms are primarily herbivores, feeding on whatever edible forms of flora there are. They primarily use their sharp claw-trunks to cut up flora and then pick up the pieces of plant matter with their claw-trunks and/or arms to move it to their mouths. Their mouths contain primitive radial jaws, and their sole function is to keep food from falling out of their mouths while they swallow it. Because they are so tall, they often sit down to eat. Their skittish nature is easily seen while they eat. Their eye-stalks constantly move; looking in all directions. If they see something large approach, they abandon their food and flee. False alarms are not uncommon, as these large animals are oftentimes pebblebacks. However, the Harvester Pedesorm is too stupid to think twice before it runs away. When the Harvester Pedesorm hunts, it often stalks its prey (which is oftentimes some sort of pedesorm). It then suddenly charges at its prey, oftentimes catching it by surprise. It then proceeds to quickly slash and stab its prey with its trunk-claw, oftentimes going for somewhere near the head; where various important blood vessels and nerves are located. This does not always work, but the chances of their hunt being successful are reasonable. Their trunk-claws are not necessarily well-adapted to cutting meat, but they still can do it; it just takes time. They are extremely susceptible to being eaten by camobacks when cutting meat. If they manage to run away, the camoback will oftentimes snack on the Harvester Pedesorm's kill.
