Ancestor:Descendants:

The krugg split from its ancestor, the climbing korrybug. It has become more of a generalist and has regained many of the scuttlecrab adaptions of its distant ancestor. It doesn't have korystal-mimicking spikes anymore, but has regained the leatherback scuttlecrab's leather-like chitin exoskeleton. Its legs have also added another segment to each leg for better walking. Like their ancestor they lay their snail-like eggs under the soil so predators cannot find them. The eggs can stay dormant for months until warmer weather comes.
