The leaping swarmer split from it's ancestor. They are half as big and have specialized to eating just the sailcells. They now leap out off the water, straining the cells as they glide. They can be found leaping out of the water in by the thousands, inhaling the clouds as they go. Two of their tentacles have move forwards and fused with their front fin, connecting through a membrane to help their gliding. Their remaining tentacles have also formed a membrane to help propel their bodies out of the water. They live in groups that can be made up of tens of millions of organisms. They are preyed upon by the scoopswarmers, but their populations are too large to be affected.
