The scoopswarmer has split from its ancestor, the drake cloudswarmer, and has moved out to the oceans. There they adapted to eating the tiny leaping swarmers that are so prevalent. They will use their wings to concentrate the clouds of sailcells into one spot, then they will scoop them into their mouths when the leaping swarmers start jumping. To help keep their body aloft, the thin flaps of skin that their ancestors had have grown into a second pair of wing. Their young that cannot catch the leaping swarmers just strain the photoswarmers from the water. When they reach adulthood, their single eyes grows into eye stalks to allow them to see their prey beneath them.
