The seascooter split from its ancestor, the mudscooter. It has moved to the coasts where it adapted to a life in saltwater. It no longer comes on to land and just scoots on the bottom of the sea. It eats mostly twinkiiros but will also scavenge for food if it comes across it. Its mouth can open to almost the size of its body. Once it eats it takes awhile for it to digest, so many seascooters look like big round balls from the twinkiiros they ate. The green spots on their back are highly concentrated chloroplasts. Like their ancestor, each one of the spikes is able to produce a positive or negative charge, so that if more than one spike is touched, a circuit can be closed. This deters predators from eating them. They will spawn in the water during the spring.
