The mudscooter replaced its ancestor, the electro mudswarmer. They have doubled in size and are slightly more mobile then their ancestor. They now store water in a throat sack so it can travel further on land before they need to go back into the water. Their digestive system has gotten better, so now it can scavenge for food. Like their ancestor, each one of the spikes is able to produce a positive or negative charge, so that if more than one spike is touched a circuit can be closed. This deters predators from eating them. Their single eyes has also gotten better to help it see where its going. In the temperate parts of the rivers and wetlands, they will hibernate in the frozen mud, while in the tropics, they can stay active all year round. They will spawn in fresh water during the spring.
