The Spotted Bubble Tree split from the Temperate Bubble Tree. Its segmented bark has changed into wider segments that allow it to capture sunlight better. The bubbles no longer explode, due to the highly wet environment, and instead are washed off the tree when it rains. Because of this, the bubbles no longer form only on the tip of the tree's limbs, but instead, form all over. It lives inthe rainforest.
