Ancestor:Descendants:

The treesnatch replaced its ancestor the spectresnatch. Without the caves to live in anymore it developed protective pigments again, specially in a brown shade to blend in with the various carnoferns. With most of its prey gone or adapted into new species it changed it diet to fruit and small fauna as well as still scavenging. It has also regained its eyes and very poor eyesight. Thus it must depend mostly on its hearing and acute sense of smell. Its butt-nostil is now a longer tail to help it balance in the trees. Its claws have grown sharp to allow it to climb trees easily. Like its ancestor it has very strong leg and arm muscles. They are quick climbers and can escape most predators as long as they stay in the treetops. Their vestigial wing-leaves have competently disappeared as well since. Individuals live for 5 years, young taking 5 months to be birthed and gaining maturity in the first year. They travel in groups of 12-15 individuals.
