Ancestor:Descendants:

The Yokto Pumpgill split from its ancestor, the Diamond Pumpgill. It has moved split from the coasts to Yokto Salt Marsh where it hides between the roots of the Sum-Humgrove. Their bodies are less diamond shape since they live in much calmer waters. Since its a salt marsh it is still brackish. There are no major predatory threats there and it feeds upon smaller prey such as Krillpedes, Larvabacks and even Tonboswarmer larva. However they will still feed on small flora like Snotflora an Marble Flora.

While they do still stay in schools they are not as numerous. They are slower swimmer than their ancestors they tend to be more agile and can navigate around roots. Individuals live for 3 years. Each female lays 30 6-mm eggs in the mud under the roots of the Sum-Humgrove. Eggs take 2 weeks to hatch and the cm long young or "squirms".
