Since there were no predators to hunt them, some burrowing pakahes left their tunnels and evolved into the golden pakahe. Unlike its ancestor, it lives in holes inside turretshroom trunks. In order to live in them, they became smaller in size. Just like its name states, the golden pakahe is a bright golden color. Much like its ancestor, it stores food underground, though it will often forget where it buried its food. The golden pakahe is still flightless, but it can do photosynthesis. It usually eats vegetation such as puffkins and shrooms. However, during times where there isn't much to eat, it will sneak into burrowing pakahe tunnels and steal the young. In order to do this, its beak has developed saber-shaped spikes that act as teeth. The golden pakahe is an off-shoot from its ancestor.
