The rotscooter split from its ancestor. It now spends most of its time in a puddle that it makes. This puddle is made first by the rotscooter digging a small basin, deep enough to submerge almost its entire body, it has larger limbs that allow it to do this. Then it will move water into this basin until partially full. After that it will pull dead flora into the puddle, sometimes even dead fauna, this stimulates microbe growth. Finally after the puddle is finished the rotscooter will lazily sit in the center and filter microbes out of the water, its waste products also will cause microbes to thrive in the puddle. Every once in a while the organism will have to move new water into its puddle due to evaporation.
The smell from these small pools is quite foul, and drinking from one will most likely result in extreme sickness. Although these fauna are nonsocial, it is not uncommon to find two or even three sharing a puddle.
