They no longer grow skin around their mouth size the baleen need no obstructions. They now come to land to give birth so marine predators like the [[Striped Nailfin|striped nailfin]] cannot get to them. They enjoy sunning themselves for hours on end even though they cannot perform photosynthesis. While they are clumsy on land they are very graceful in the water. Its light blue stripe attracts mates when on land. Males will make loud honking sounds from their butt-nostrils and will puff up their neck pouch to see who gets the rights to females.

The rennus replaced its ancestor the xeno pakahe. Due to the abundance of other marine predators it has specialized in eating small macroscopic prey (between 1–5 cm). It has developed a new baleen beak and neck pouch to help filter out this food. They have developed a more streamlined look and their butt-nostril has returned to the end of its tail. While it still has tiny external eats it relies mostly on its jaw to pick up sound waves. It can produce sounds with its butt-nostril and then will pick them up with its long beak to its ears.

They no longer grow skin around their mouth size the baleen need no obstructions. They now come to land to give birth so marine predators like the striped nailfin cannot get to them.

Living Relatives (click to show/hide)

These are randomly selected, and organized from lowest to highest shared taxon. (This may correspond to similarity more than actual relation)
  • Wood Wraith (superorder Passerimancerximorpha)
  • Electro Spelunkhoe (subclass Rostrophylla)
