The vicious islpeded split from its ancestor, the spitting islepede. It has become an omnivore and feeds on other islepedes. It uses its sticky spit to clog up the book lungs of the other islepedes. Thus suffocates them so they can use their toothy beaks to crack open their shells to eat the flesh inside. They also will still eat rubric sticky-cube when they cannot find prey.
Two of its "ear legs" have become more advanced with an ear lobe that can be focus to listen for prey. The other 2 pairs were not needed and have atrophied. Their combed beaks have developed into thin teeth to rip up flesh. It has an more upright posture so it can run faster. Even its "antenna arms" have gotten longer so they can grab prey. Only 2 book lung openings remain on the torso. Its front clawed feet now have 3 toes rather than 2. This is to help it walk better.
Like their ancestor they will work together to hunt. They form simple packs of 3 to 4 to surround larger prey like the giant islepede. They still have 4 sexes and mate in the same way as their ancestors did with betas in the north part of the island and alphas in the southern part.
