The trotskunik has replaced its ancestor, the burrowing diveskunik in Barlowe Tundra. It no longer lives on glaciers. It lives in harmony with the cavohoe by helping them dig tunnels. They will help bring food from surface back into the tunnels and will openly share it with the cavehoes. They spend a lot more time on the surface than their ancestor due to having the cavehoes helping dig the tunnels. Their fatty lumps have grown bigger due to their extended time on the surface.
Their scoop-like forelimbs can carry back food like large baskets. In addition their gut can hold a lot of food. Thus when they return to the colony they will both dump their claw scoops but also vomit up food for the colony. They spawn in ponds made at the bottom of the tunnels, with the larva eating pieces of flora placed there by the adults.
