Ancestor:Descendants:

After millennia of evolution alongside their companions the tripodians, the genteel tuskents were the eventual result of continuing domestication that came about from this partnership. As they split from their ancestors due to a more controlled breeding, they became smaller and began to greatly resemble the young of the imperial leathershelled tuskent. Now more obedient and possessing a stronger pack-mentality, these creatures continue to live alongside companions, helping them hunt and guarding them from danger.

Possessing a more "compact" frame, they have also lost parts of their armor and armaments due to domestication. However, now that they have developed a strong pack-mentality, they more than make up for this. This has led to a further increase in their intelligence, necessary to maintain a packs organization as well as make up for not being as physically capable of taking down larger prey without using group tactics.

They have now developed the ability to produce toxins that mimic those of the cellulosebanes. This was not "bred" into them, but developed naturally. The resulting toxins make their bites more dangerous, giving them characteristics of a mild infection in bite wounds they inflict.

Sexual maturity occurs around three to four years of age out of a genteel tuskent's twenty year lifespan. Once pregnant, a female will give birth to several pups, after which the entire pack takes a role in their upbringing. With a female to male ratio of 3-1, they have become a common sight in Drake.

While most of these creatures can be considered "domesticated", wild packs exist. These feral creatures have carved a niche out on the tundra, hunting in packs of six to seven members led by an alpha female. Few fauna would dare to challenge them on what they now consider their turf.
