The common cooties split from its ancestor, the boiling fever has spread across the globe. Its spread through water and infects is hosts when they drink or breathe them in. Like their ancestor they can stay dormant until inside the hosts body. Once inside they will activate and attack its host's cells. While not fatal to the host they do cause discomfort, upset stomach, runny nose and diarrhea. It also causes the host to be come extremely thirsty, thus allowing them to spread back into the water. The common cooties are most abundant in juvenile species due to them not being exposed to the disease yet. Adults eventually become immune after getting it a few times.
